SUPER FUDGY DARK CHOCOLATE BROWNIES.
Rich. Moist. Flourless. And so much chocolate.
Your Valentine’s Day deserves something decadent this year.
I’m not a cheap-chocolate-and-teddy-bear kind of person (but who is?). So when it comes to Valentine’s Day treats, I fully expect to enjoy something special.
And if that special treat can also be super easy to make + only calls for 5 ingredients, you can just start calling me cupid. Cause I’m about to be spreading alllll the love, yall.
These brownies are best eaten with a giant scoop of ice cream, paired with some Plant City strawberries, or eaten shamelessly out of the pan with a fork while your baby is asleep in the next room.
I’m not here to judge.
On top of being super fudgy, these dark chocolate brownies are also gluten-free. Not that I personally need them to be flourless. But I love being able to bake these for a group without worrying that someone with allergies won’t get to have a taste.
So whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with your lover or getting together your favorite girls for a Parks & Recreation-style Galentine’s Day, these brownies are the best treat for the occasion.
And if you’re feeling a little fancy, you can throw together these little skewers!
They’re just halved strawberries, marshmallows, big chunks of brownie, and a generous drizzle of melted chocolate.
In my opinion, there’s no better way to show someone you love them.
Super Fudgy Dark Chocolate Brownie Recipe
- 10 oz bag of dark chocolate chips/chunks
- 1/4 cup organic coconut oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Grease and line a baking dish with parchment paper to make it easier to remove the brownies later. (See recipe notes)*
Over low heat, melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips with the coconut oil. Be sure to slowly melt them so the mixture doesn't get too hot. Stir occasionally. As the chocolate melts, beat together the coconut sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl.
Once the chocolate is melted, slowly drizzle it into the egg and sugar mixture as you whisk everything together with the other hand. This will help to temper the eggs so they won't end up scrambled!
Pour the brownie batter into the baking dish and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes.* (See recipe notes for specific instructions for different sized dishes). Serve up hot & gooey with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!
*If using a standard 8x8 pan, bake these for 30-35 minutes. For a 9x9 pan, bake for 25 minutes (this will yield a thinner brownie, but is still super yummy!). For super thick brownies, use a 6x6 inch pan and bake for 40 minutes.
Leave me a comment below and let me know if you try these out! Use them for ice cream sundaes, in those cute little skewers, or just shove them in your face until your stomach hurts. Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers!
